Barbara Bentree is a multiple Award-Winning filmmaker and vocalist who previously worked for over two decades in Los Angeles. Bentree took First Place in the prestigious Hennessey Jazz Search with her acapella vocal group TERRA NOVA. Barbara has directed theatre companies, and produced music for television shows. She was most notably a part of The New Mickey Mouse Club production team on The Disney Channel where she auditioned and selected Ryan Gosling, Kerri Russell, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera for the show, to name only a few. Now an award-winning filmmaker, Bentree previously directed and produced a Documentary film titled "My Choice" about women's reproductive issues and another film titled "Should You Go?" about High School Reunions. Her current film, "Dave Grusin: Not Enough Time" is a multiple award-winning Documentary film that has appeared in numerous film festivals all over the world. She is currently directing and producing her fourth Documentary film titled, "Unfolding the Light: Origami in The Garden" and is developing several other screenplays, books, podcasts and web series. Ms. Bentree has been a Board Member for New Mexico Women In Film, The Academy for New Musical Theatre, Theatre Palisades, and has been a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. |
John Rangel is a multiple Award-Winning Musician and Producer. He previously owned a recording studio in Pacific Palisades, CA for over a decade. John is a frequently sought after pianist, composer, and producer working in a variety of mediums. He has performed in some of the most prestigious venues and festivals all over the world including Europe, Africa, and Japan. As a jazz pianist he has written more than 400 original compositions. John has been involved in the music production teams for the following films and television programs; "Dave Grusin: Not Enough Time," "Cold Mountain," "Levity," "Appaloosa," "Heartbreakers," "Thor," "Flags of Our Fathers" "My Choice," "Unfolding the Light: Origami In The Garden," and he had a recurring role on "The John Laroquette Show" on television. Rangel was also part of the music staff for several television shows produced by The Disney Channel. Rangel is currently partnered with Barbara Bentree in the development of several original screenplays, films, podcasts, and a jazz series for television. |
